The electrocardiogram is an examination that analyses the trace of the electrical activity of the heart and records it on a moving sheet or shows it as a line on the screen. 

An ECG trace is the easiest, most widespread and cost-effective way to analyse the heart and detect irregularities that could lead to serious health problems such as a stroke or heart attack. 
 
By observing an ECG, a doctor can discern medically relevant information about the health and activity level of the heart muscle, much more than what can be inferred from the heart rate alone which is registered by most wearable devices.

Having an ECG device at hand helps you promptly detect any heart problems or monitor your heart health. However, it is essential that the ECG is interpreted by a trusted doctor or an experienced cardiologist.

With D-Heart, we offer the first telecardiology service designed for patients: our cardiologist will analyze your ECG and provide you with guidance on how to best manage your situation.

D-HEART CARDIOLOGICAL TRIAGE SERVICE

Our standard reports are carried out by Italian cardiologists from D-Heart. The analysis includes the evaluation of heart rhythm, atrioventricular and intraventricular conduction, as well as the possible presence of repolarization abnormalities. These reports can be used for sports certificates, general and occupational medicine, as well as for any other medical needs required by law.

The 8-lead ECGs are reported according to our triage system, to ensure greater comprehensibility for patients, while the 12-lead ECGs, intended for healthcare professionals, are reported in standard medical language.

Red

Red: urgent help needed. It is essential to contact a doctor immediately and, if necessary, the emergency service to best manage the situation. Remember to show them your D-Heart ECG.

Orange

Orange: consult a doctor. Further cardiac tests are required within 2-3 hours for a more thorough evaluation. Emergency services can assist you. Remember to show them your ECG.

Yellow

Yellow: consult your doctor. Schedule an appointment with your trusted doctor for tomorrow and discuss with him the possible need for further tests. Remember to show him your D-Heart ECG.

Green

Green: everything is normal in the absence of symptoms. Stay calm, your tracing has been evaluated by an experienced cardiologist and is within the normal range. However, remember to show it to your trusted doctor.
